Hiring WWTP Operator
The City of Wyoming is accepting applications to fill a full-time Employee position for an
Operator of the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Reverse Osmosis Water Plant.
The Operator works 40 hours a week Monday through Friday. May be required to work
weekends, holidays, and overtime to complete job requirements, as well as be on call when
necessary.
All Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements including but not limited to:
1. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
2. Must possess a Class 2 Wastewater Treatment Sewer Operators Certification, per
State of Illinois regulations.
3. Must possess a Class A Water Operators Certification per State of Illinois Regulations.
4. Must Possess a valid driver’s license
5. Ability to pass a personal interview, physical and drug screen when applicable.
The Operator must be available and present for work as scheduled; be available for after hour
calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and always perform all functions of the job safely and
efficiently in compliance with all safety regulations and policies for the welfare of the Operator
and the public. Must be able to attend and participate in job related meetings, seminars and
continuous education training and courses.
Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position will also
